Alexis Vasseur received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Jussieu in 1999. He is currently the John T. Stuart III Professor at the University of Texas at Austin, and has been an affiliated member of ICES from September 2013 to present.

Dr. Vasseur’s research interest include Fluid Mechanics, Navier-Stokes equations, Integral operators, Hyperbolic conservation laws, Kinetic equations and hydrodynamical limits.
