Oscar Gonzalez received his Ph.D. in Applied Mechanics from Stanford University in1996. He has been professor of mathematics at the Department of Mathematics at the University if Texas at Austin since 2013.

Dr. Gonzalez’s general interests are in computational and applied mathematics with an emphasis on classical continuum mechanics.
