Thomas Chen received his Ph.D. in Mathematical Physics and Mechanical Engineering from ETH Zurich in 2001 and 1999 respectively. He is the Department Chair and Professor at the Department of Mathematics. He holds the Frank E. Gerth III Faculty Fellowship.

Dr. Chen’s research interest include Mathematical Physics, Analysis and Applied Mathematics.
